What kind of sailboats can be used?
We don’t require a specific class of sailboat, members sail all kinds of boats from Snarks, to Sunfish to Lasers. The lake is only 180 acres and 14 feet deep at its deepest point. Most members sail dinghy style sailboats that are around 14 feet in length with a removable dagger board.
Is there an age requirement?
All ages and abilities are welcome, we do require that anyone under the age of 18 be accompanied by their parent.
Is there a cost to join the club?
Sailors pay annual dues of $20.00. This covers the cost of equipment used during the racing season.
Do I need any special equipment?
No special equipment, other than a sailboat! There is a boat ramp, and ample parking. We do require that members wear a life jacket or personal flotation device while on the water.
